Who are we ?

Our family history

Since four generations, Charles, Jean, Bernard, Jean-Baptiste perpetuate the know-how of a high quality Champagne.

We realise every the step: vine working, pressing, elaboration of cuvees, marketing.

In our cellar, we prepare this precious wine so that it becomes an excellent Champagne.
To realise the various manipulations: riddling, disgorging, labelling…, we have modernised our cellars in the respect of traditions.

The Champagne territory

site

The A.O.C. Champagne area is strictly fixed by the law. It spreads upon “Montagne de Reims”, “Vallée de la Marne”, “Côte des Blancs », a small part of « Aube » and « Aisne » and includes 320 villages in different classed growth. It covers approximately 35000 hectares and two third of them are exploited.

Only three grape-varieties are allowed in Champagne :

Pinot Noir, black grape with white juice, in majority around the “Montagne de Reims” and “Côte des Bar” : it gives aromas of red fruits and brings body and power.

Pinot Meunier, black grape too with white juice, comes in majority from “Vallée de la Marne” and is characterized by its flexibility. It offers to wines curvature and bouquet.

Chardonnay, white grape, it’s mainly situated in “Côte des Blancs”, and is the finest grape-variety. Its notes are floral, sometimes even mineral.
