un très grand millésime pour la champagne. une année très chaude et sèche avec des vendanges précoces. la qualité est excellente même si certains chardonnays souffrirent un peu d'orages violents survenus à la fin du mois d'. les champagnes sont riches, pleins et aromatiques. a superb year and one of the top halfdozen vintages of the last century. some frost damage occurred in april but the vintage was made by the long, hot and dry summer. the crop was large (the rd largest on record) and the resultant wines had excellent alcohol and acidity levels. produced the ripest wines since .

i have a reserve bottle of dom, received as a gift for completing a big project at work years ago. the bottle is in a gift box and has been stored in a cabinet drawer all these years. i completely forgot about it until recently. i am not a big champagne drinker (obviously). would it still be good or is it garbage weather conditions. almost half of the region was affected by the frosts that came in april, and cool conditions during the latter part of spring affected the flowering, which was prolonged. however, a hot, dry summer saw the development of a bumper crop and notably big grapes. the rain that fell in
